How can I spend my free time?

Each study country offers unique experiences: in Argentina, try tango; in Nepal, you can explore yoga; in Ghana, enjoy the local music scene; in Vietnam, take cooking classes; and in Costa Rica, surfing is the number one leisure activity.
Our study locations offer activities to suit any tastes.
You'll never run out of things to discover, and our local staff can assist in finding activities in your town if needed.

Volunteer work?
Many students choose to volunteer alongside their studies, and local staff can help connect you with reputable organizations.
Opportunities exist for volunteer English teaching and working with animals or nature in several of our study locations.

Restaurants, cafes, and nightlife
Cozy eateries, bars, and street food stalls abound in and around all university towns, though options are more extensive in Buenos Aires compared to Cape Coast. All campuses are located close to major cities, offering freedom to explore, and dining or coffee is typically cheaper than in Scandinavia.

Sports and physical activity
Many students stay active through gym memberships or sports during their studies. Most towns have gyms with flexible memberships, and students often form volleyball or football teams for matches with local teams. Yoga, pilates, surf, dance classes, paragliding, rafting, and hiking are popular activities, with hiking in Nepal being especially common.

Excursions
Kulturstudier organizes weekend excursions within the study country, and you can also plan trips with fellow students during free weekends. Each programme includes a long weekend around the midpoint of the semester for longer trips.
All study programmes have a long weekend around the middle of the teaching period where you have the opportunity to go on a longer trip.

This is just a glimpse of the activities available to you.
