Study Spanish in Argentina

Do you already know some Spanish and want to improve or become fluent in the language? You will have the opportunity to take the exam at a Norwegian university in addition to our local university partner.

As a student in Argentina, you will have the opportunity to practice the language every day.

This program is suitable for those who already speak basic Spanish.

About the programme

As a Spanish student in Argentina, the curriculum becomes a part of daily life.

Choose from exciting elective subjects

Spanish constitutes the main part, three quarters, of the instruction.

In addition, everyone chooses one of several exciting elective subjects that make up one quarter.

In the fall of 2025, you can choose from the following subjects:

  • Climate change and green transition in Latin America
  • Democracy and authoritarianism in Latin America

Everyone will receive more information about the content of the elective subjects well before the start of studies.

    Lucia Correa

    Lucia is our manager in Buenos Aires. She is an anthropologist and educator with a natural curiosity for people and their cultures. Born in Buenos Aires, she once called Norway home and still carry a bit of its language and essence with her. She deeply believes in and advocates for the importance of intercultural experiences and language learning as fundamental tools for personal growth, and is excited to share this journey with her students.

    Julia Rabinovich

    Julia is our assistant manager in Buenos Aires. Her job is to assist Lucia with any practical matters and support the students throughout the semester. Born and raised in Palermo, Buenos Aires, Julia is an avid foodie, thrift shopper, and fanatic of Buenos Aires. She loves the outdoors and the sun and has many tips of what you can enjoy in Argentina!

    Monica Nardelli

    Prof. Monica Nardelli graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in Arts and Literature and is a specialist in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). She has been teaching Spanish to foreigners since 1990. Prof. Nardelli serves as the Secretary of the Language Department at the School of Engineering, overseeing courses in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish for foreigners. Since 2009, she has led the Spanish teaching team for Kulturstudier's program in Argentina at UNSAM, where she collaborates with her staff to develop syllabi and class materials for Spanish courses.

    To apply for the program, fill out the application form. It is completely non-binding.

    Offer of admission

    Assuming there are available spots, we will send you an offer for a study place. To secure your spot, you pay a deposit of 250 EUR.

  • 3

    Start of studies

    Before the start of your studies, you will receive information from us about all practical and academic preparations. The remainder of the tuition fee is to be paid two weeks before the start of your studies.

Scholarship opportunities

Each semester, we offer a select few local students the opportunity to take part in the course through our scholarship programme.

You must be a national of the country of study to be eligible.

The deadline to apply is 1 June for the autumn semester, and 1 November for the spring semester.
